SWEET MOMENTS ON TEACHERS' DAY

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION PART 3

After a very hectic week, finally we had come to the climax of the celebrations. We celebrated teachers' day at school level on 18th May 2009 ( Monday). Today is the day where all the students and teachers enjoying ourselves. In the morning we had teachers' performances. This year our school male teachers were very proactive. They manage to make a band and were performing 3 songs for us. At the second part of the morning, after prize giving ceremony, we had tele-match among the teachers. And it was followed by netball tournament. Of course my team is the winning team. My team will represent our school to compete in district level this coming Saturday.

Here are some sweet moments of the day

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION PART 2

16th May 2009 is teachers' day. This year this date fell on Saturday, so we don't have any celebrations for it yet and it was postponed to 18th May ( Monday). But on the 16th, our district held a badminton competition. As a very active teachers, my colleague and I had participated in it. I was participated in mix-double ( together with my school counselor) and female double ( with my colleague Pn Donny Juitah). Of course we had won, not one but a lot! On the mix double game, I won a third place and for finale double i had won second place. Not bad huh. My another colleague, Pn Nor Aminah also won a third place for female double. She was also participated in mix-double with her husband. But she was not so lucky because her first game already met up with the champion team. Never mind try again next time k!

Prize giving ceremony at SMK Canossian Convent Kluang right after the competition.

TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION 1

In conjunction of Teachers' day celebration 2009, teachers of my school had participate in many activities held by our KEBIRU ( Teachers and Staff Society ) and our district education department.

The activities were started 3 weeks back where we had our badminton tournament among the colleagues. Of course I got the first place. I played mix-double with Mr Md Nor ( our school counselor ).

The second activity is friendly match bowling with SMK Kahang Barat. The pictures was shown in my last post.

The third activity is blood donation ( 14th May 2009). This is the good deed that I have done for Teachers' Day celebration this year. This the seventh time that I donated my blood but this time I donated more, 350 ml. I did't donate blood since 2003 due to my high blood pressure and low level of hemoglobin. I am glad that I can donate it this time. But this time I have to endure to times for the nurse to put needle into my blood vessel. My blood was clotted at the end of the needle, so the nurse have to change into another needle on my another hand. Huh...huh... its very pain and until now my hand still swollen and blue black.

My left hand. The nurse fail to take my blood due to blood clotting at the end of the needle.

You see, both my hand were used to donate blood.

WE ARE THE CHAMPION!!!!!!

In conjunction of the Teacher’s Day celebration we had prepared some sports game for teachers in our school. After the Badminton competition last month we had our bowling tournament with SMK Kahang Timur at Kluang Parade last Friday.

SMK Kahang Timur team
SMK Kahang Timur Team. I only knew the name of their sifu... AH-Ha(Red shirt).

SMK Seri Lalang team ( of course the winner team )
SMKSL Team R : Auriko, Farah(SMKK team), baby Farah, Min, Maya, Kiroro, Kiara(front), Kia & Ara...
Not forget to mention it here that most of us really dunno how to bowl and we only had 2 to 3 days practiced before the tournament... LOL . And I think it was still too soon for a tournament. So, don’t be surprise that mostly we hit the wrong target but don’t get me wrong.. Some of us really were ‘happening’! It was fun actually and such a great escaped for us. Congratulations for all the winners The 1st prize goes to our team SMKSL... and of course 2nd prize goes to SMK Kahang Timur... also I would like to highlight that the winner for the BEST SCORE on this season goes to AURIKO ( the one wearing blue and white square shirt and holding a hamper beside me)
Here we are happily with our hamper! the one wearing red shirt is from our rival team. And my lucky charm is the one wearing blue scarf sitting beside me. Thank you Kiroro, you are really bring me a lot of luck!!!!

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY TO ALL THE TEACHER IN THIS WORLD

HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!!!!!!

Being a teacher is not in my list of ambition. I cried for three days when I was enrolled in university for Degree in Education. As time goes by, I've realised that I really like this job very much. Although it is very hectic, but I really enjoy teaching.

Once I was came across a quote by a person ( don't remember who but must be quite popular person), this quote really change my view as a teacher.

The quote is sound like this,"I am a teacher. A teacher is someone who leads. There is no magic here. I do not walk on water. I do not part the sea. I just LOVE children ".
To all the children lovers out there, Happy Teachers' Day!

My neighbour, Ms M. Saraladevi

This is also my colleague. We are sitting quite far so don’t have much time spent to gossip. Usually we will grab every minute we have to share story of our day in school and how the students make us angry.

A million thanks for being my dear friend
Rushing to help me every time in need
A million thanks again my dear friend
Dashing off to help me every time in need

RED CRESCENT SOCIETY CAMPING AT MARDI

On 10th - 12th April, Ms Nuha and I together with 10 students went to MARDI for Red Crescent society camping. I was the camp matron for the camp. As I promised, these were the few photos taken during the camp. It was an enjoyable camp. A lot of first time experience for me; it is the first time I stayed in a camp, it is the first time I had to stay in the middle of a jungle for 3 days and it was the first camping that doesn’t have any camp fire activities at night.

My camping students together with me and En Abdullah. See... how smart looking they are in Red Crescent Society uniform.
The students, Ms Nuha and me. Taking photo early in the morning. This is the look before we take our bath.
This is Ms Nuha. You see... how hardworking and workaholic she is. She was marking her students essay during the camp activities.

The heroes that helped me to set up my camp. Thank you guys!!!

CHIN MENG FESTIVAL

I was busy these last few days because of Red Crescent Society camping at MARDI for three days. I will upload my pictures of the activities later because this week all the teachers in my school are busy with Headcount. This Headcount thing really gives me a HEADACHE.Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I HATE IT, I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to stay back for a few days to finish it on time. I feel I will get sick soon. My partner for the camp was on medical leave yesterday, I also feel that I will be following her footsteps soon. Hopefully no lah… ( May God Bless Me...AMEN )

The grass on top of the grave is cleared once a year.

It was a breezy and cool day.

This Chin Meng festival was celebrated on 4th April. It is festival that we don’t celebrate it by wishing each other. It is a day to remember our ancestors. On this day all the descendants have to offer their prayers to the ancestors who are resting in peace. I went back to my ‘kampung’ at Segamat as early as 5.00 a.m. in the morning because the ritual had to be started by 8 a.m ( auspicious hour: is believed that this hour will bring luck to the descendants). These two photos were taken after we had finished the ritual. I took the photos from afar because to
